Internal Audits

Nash Training Services is able to complete internal audits for your RTO in line with the following regulatory standards:

  • ASQA VET Quality Framework (Standards for RTOs)
  • CRICOS / ESOS standards
  • AQTF / VRQA Guidelines
  • Funding contracts (i.e. HESG)
  • WorkSafe approved RTO requirements

The day to day running of an RTO can often leave the compliance requirements as a lower priority, but ensuring the RTO is meeting all compliance requirements can save you time and money in the long run.

An internal audit should be conducted regularly and used to pro-actively identify areas for improvement and rectification of any areas that may not be meeting compliance requirements.

Nash Training Services is able to provide a quality internal audit process to review your compliance against all Vocational Education & Training (VET) standards and related requirements.

All internal audits can be conducted through a combination of desktop review and onsite visits. A detailed report is provided at the completion of the review process, which can assist the RTO to rectify any identified non-compliances.

The process for an internal audit is normally as follows:

  • Pre-audit review
    • A desktop review of some documentation prior to the site visit (a list of documents that access is required to prior to the site visit will be provided)
  • Site Visit
    • Time allocated onsite to review implementation of all relevant compliance requirements
    • This audit process will include a sampling approach in terms of the number of qualifications / units of competency reviewed
  • Report and recommendations
    • Detailed report of any non-compliances and continuous improvements identified through the review
    • The report will include recommendations in relation to any issues identified

Costs and timeframes for internal audits are determined on size and scope of the organisation’s requirements. Nash Training Services ensures the privacy and confidentiality of all internal audit results.

James and Carly have both undertaken relevant internal audit training and James has been engaged by government regulators as a quality auditor (VRQA & ASQA).

As experienced RTO consultants we have had a vast amount of experience in conducting quality audits across a range of compliance systems and industries, and have an excellent knowledge of compliance requirements in the VET industry.
